United Playing Environment

AYSO United Davis teams compete in NorCal Premier Region 6 leagues, offering players a challenging and rewarding club soccer experience.

Game Schedule

  • Home Competitions: Held at Nugget Field (1801 Moore Blvd, Davis, CA 95616).
  • Away Competitions: Typically within 20–45 minutes of Davis at nearby competition complexes.
  • Season Format: 3–4  tournaments annually. 8–10 games in the Fall. 8–10 games in the Spring.



Training Program

Training is structured to prepare players for competition while fostering long-term development.

  • Location: Nugget Fields.
  • Seasons: Training occurs during the summer, fall, and spring.
  • Schedule: Most teams train twice per week for 1.5 hours per session.
  • Specialized Training: Position-based training is available for all players.

Our coaches design an annual program focused on maximizing player potential and enjoyment, incorporating:

  • Periodization Breaks: Balancing physical development with rest.
  • Other Activities: Supporting extracurricular involvement.
  • Off-Field Programming: Enhancing soccer IQ and team building.
  • Fun-Focused Approach: Ensuring an enjoyable experience on and off the field.

We are committed to helping each player reach their full potential while balancing the demands of competition with a holistic, enjoyable approach to soccer.

Programming Details

Age Groups

AYSO United Davis offers competitive soccer teams for boys and girls aged 11U to 19U teams. 

Commitment Level

At United, we value both passion for soccer and the importance of a well-rounded life.

  • Season Schedule: Teams are active from July–November and February–May.
  • Flexibility: We support players’ participation in other extracurricular activities and work with families to ensure a healthy balance.
  • Community Focus: Joining United means becoming part of a vibrant soccer community that emphasizes teamwork, growth, and fun. Many of our players have ties to Davis, California

United Coaches and Curriculum

Our coaching team is dedicated to providing a well-rounded program that enriches children's lives. Our soccer education, emphasizes technical, tactical, physical, and psychosocial development.

  • Experienced Coaches: Many have over a decade of experience coaching youth soccer, including former high school players and current parents.
  • Coach Development:
    • United covers USSF licensing fees for all coahces
    • Yearly coaches complete player safety training in addition to monthly background checks
  • Philosophy: We integrate AYSO philosophies with a USSF curriculum tailored to our players’ needs.

Program Cost

  • Total Fees: $1650 program fee + $25 AYSO National fee + $2.75 processing fee.
  • Payment Plans: Quarterly and monthly options available.
  • Scholarships: Robust program covering up to 100% of fees for families in need—no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
  • Uniform Costs:
    • New families: Estimated $200 for home, away, and training kits.
    • Players returning from the 2024/2025 will NOT need new uniforms for the 2025/2026 year.

Fee Breakdown Includes the Following for All Teams:

  • Training equipment and field rental fees.
  • 2 league seasons and referee fees.
  • All coach gear and coach training.
  • 2 tournaments (or 3 if not participating in State Cup).
  • Program administration and coaching resources.
  • AI-powered game film camera and subscription (including live streaming).
  • Maintenance fees associated with Nugget Fields.

Refund Policy

  • No Refunds: After Team Camp starts at the end of June, refunds are not provided.
  • Exceptions: Season-ending injuries are eligible for exceptions.

What A Normal Year Looks Like

At AYSO United Davis, we strive to coordinate activities thoughtfully, taking into account the DJUSD calendar and working with local organizations to minimize scheduling conflicts.

The United program provides year-round soccer opportunities, with built-in breaks and flexibility to balance soccer with other commitments.


Season Calendar

June

  • Team Camp (3rd or 4th week): Morning soccer training and afternoon team-building activities
  • Community Impact: VOICE partnership with Davis Picks It Up. 

July

  • Summer Practices: Begin with 2 sessions per week.
  • Vacation Friendly: Families are encouraged to take vacations without pressure.
  • Optional 3v3 Tournaments: One-day events for those in town.

August

  • Tournament: Typically scheduled during the 3rd week of August.

September

  • Practices: Continue 2x per week.
  • Games: 1–2 matches on Saturdays or Sundays.

October

  • Practices: Continue 2x per week.
  • Games: 1–2 matches on Saturdays or Sundays.
  • Halloween Tournament: Optional for interested teams.

November

  • Games: A few matches, with most seasons wrapping up by Thanksgiving.
  • Community Impact: VOICE partnership with Yolo Food Bank for Thanksgiving meal support.
  • Winter Break: The club takes an official break from the end of November until February.

December & January

  • OFFICIAL BREAK: No mandatory activities.
  • Just Play Options: Casual sessions available for players who wish to stay active.

February

  • Practices Resume: 2 sessions per week, usually after Presidents Day.
  • Late-February Tournament: Optional for participating teams.

March

  • Practices: Continue 2x per week.
  • Games: 1–2 matches on Saturdays or Sundays.

April

  • Practices: Continue 2x per week.
  • Games: 1–2 matches on Saturdays or Sundays.
  • United Night Out: Community fundraiser on the 4th Saturday of the month.

May

  • Final Whistle Celebration: Club-wide event on the 2nd Thursday of May.
  • Season Wrap-Up: Most teams conclude by mid-May. U15–U19 teams in State Cup may continue into June.
