The vision of AYSO United Davis is to “provide a world-class soccer program that enriches young athletes’ lives through sport and community service.” While part of that vision is realized on the soccer field, the rest of the vision is accomplished by the active involvement of our players in our community.
VOICE - Volunteer Opportunity In Community Engagement Program
This innovative program is designed to grow with the player and give the player a range of opportunities during and after playing soccer with AYSO United Davis.
VOICE stands for Volunteer Opportunity in Community Engagement. It's really an avenue where kids/teams can build their own outreach or team bonding experience off the field. Soccer is just 1 item that brings these kids together. Active involvement in the community, learning life skills, and giving back to the community off the pitch is what we are trying to achieve. In 23/24, kids became referees, tournament helpers, youth coaches, but also participated with Community Park/Nugget Field clean up, adopted families thru STEAC, participated in harvest picking and meal kits for the Yolo Food Bank, We also provided opportunities to learn some life skills like bike maintenance and safety and self defense skills. Much of this outreach started with a player/team interest, and it bloomed from there.
