The AYSO United tryout experience is designed to identify the best pathway for each player within the AYSO soccer ecosystem in Davis. Whether your player is new to soccer or has advanced skills, there’s a program for everyone.

About AYSO Programs in Davis

• AYSO United: Forms year-round club soccer teams for players with the dedication and skills to compete at the club level.
• Other Programs: Fall Core, Alliance, and Spring Core offer opportunities for players to develop with limited travel requirements.

What to Expect at Tryouts
Players will check in, warm up, and showcase their skills individually and as part of a team. The goal is to create a fun and engaging soccer experience.

Tryout Schedule

• Two tryout periods are organized based on players’ birth years.
• Players are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible.
• Attending at least one tryout is mandatory to be considered for a United team. If attendance is not possible due to injury or other circumstances, contact us at [email protected].

Player Preparation

• Our Director of Coaching will email you with age group updates including numbers of players trying out and anticipated teams in advance of tryouts (please ensure you are pre-registered by filling out the Google Form).
• Bring plenty of water, shin guards, and socks that cover them.
• Wear a plain white or dark shirt, suitable for a tryout environment.

Check-In Process

• Arrive 15 minutes early and locate the check-in tent for your player’s birth year.
• A volunteer will confirm registration details, provide a tryout number, and direct your player to their field.

Parent Guidelines
Parents are not allowed on the field during tryouts to ensure a focused environment for players and evaluators.

Offer Process

• Families will be notified of team offers by the Sunday following tryouts.
• To ensure timely communication, pre-register your player at least one week before tryouts.
