Today we’re reliving some of our most popular social media posts from the last 12 weeks! With 18 teams and over 300 families there was so much good happening throughout AYSO United Davis.
|
 |
United keepers had the opportunity to train Wednesday evenings throughout Fall with a dedicated goal keeper coach. Some great saves were caught on camera! Our team photographers were in on all the action all season long.

 |
With 99 home games our referees stayed busy! To better support them we changed the spectator layout at Nugget Fields this season. 3 weeks later our league partner followed suit at their events.

“Good sportsmanship” remains a core value of AYSO United hubs across the nation. Here in Davis our expectation continues to be “impeccable sportsmanship”. 2006G Blue coaches received this great message from the opposition during Week 3
“I was really impressed by your team’s spirit yesterday. Regardless of the score/situation, there was positive energy coming from your team’s bench. That’s refreshing and a real contrast to some of the more recent games that we’ve played. That’s a compliment to your coaching. The league needs more of this.”

Our teams worked with Davis AYSO to create soccer bags for over 100 recreational teams (above left). It takes a village to make seasons happen. Other off field activities that enhanced our teams on-field performances included: packing food boxes at Yolo Food Bank, assembling hygiene kits for STEAC (above right), bowling, fro-yo, Sacramento Republic games and more.

Teams brought home some bling in tournaments. 2009G blue, 2009G white, 2010G blue, 2008B blue (above) all earned some hardware. And check out those costumes
AFC Richmond (2004B blue), Tuxedo Skeletons (2011B white), Hippies (2012G blue), Pumpkins (2009B blue)

Good luck 2010B white!

The season isn’t over yet for some! For U13 and younger the state wide tournament, called State Cup, wraps up in the Fall (as opposed to U14 and above where it finishes in the Spring).
We’ll be cheering for two of our 2010 teams as they compete in the knockout stages of the NorCal State Cup! Coach Terry, Karl, Lisa, and the boys will take on Atwater Soccer in the finals for Bronze 3/4 on December 11th. While Coach Sam, Abdel, Nayeli, and the girls will take on Spurs FC in the quarterfinals on December 3rd. Good luck coaches and players!

With your support, we’re fulfilling our mission to deliver a soccer experience grounded in AYSO Philosophies and aligned with the advanced development needs of youth players in our community. Thank you.
If you're thinking of a year-end gift consider donating to our player scholarship fund here. Take a moment now and help ensure everyone that wants to and has the ability to can participate in the coming year of competitive Davis soccer. We depend on donations to keep our scholarship program alive and need to raise $15,000 more this season to keep it healthy and keep kids playing soccer
