AYSO United Davis teams typically begin at 11U. The May tryouts are free, open to all players and designed to allow players to showcase their skills. Teams will be formed from 11U (2012 birthyear) to 19U (2004 birthyear).Tryouts take place at Nugget Fields at 1801 Moore Blvd Davis, CA 95618

Tryout Schedule

Tryouts for our 2008-2004 teams take place May 23-25

Girls will tryout from 5:30-6:45pm each night

Boys will from 7:00-8:15pm each night

Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to check-in.

Tryouts times were changed 5/19/2022 due to heat and a large conflict. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to tryouts so we can get you checked in!

It is important to come to as many days of tryouts as possible to allow for coaches to evaluate players. Please contact us here if any issues or conflicts arrive.

What to Expect at Tryouts

The United tryout experience aims to identify the appropriate player pathway for each individual that attends. Players can expect to check-in, warm-up, and then showcase their skills by working individually and in teams to have fun and play soccer.

There will be two tryout periods depending on the birth year of the player.

Players should plan to attend as many tryouts dates as possible. If a player would like to be considered for a United team, they must attend at least one tryout date. If there are circumstances that make this impossible for your player or family (e.g., current injury), please reach out to [email protected] to discuss.

Equipment: Please ensure your player has plenty of water, shin guards, and socks that cover them.

Check-In: Arrive 15 minutes prior to your tryout time and find the tent and table for your players birth year. A volunteer will ensure United has all information needed, hand your player their tryout number, and direct them to their field.

Parents are not allowed on the field during tryouts.

Offer Process: Families will find out by the Sunday after tryouts if their player has been offered a position on a United team for the 22/23 season.
