How to Register

Sign up now to express your interest in the tryouts for the 2024/2025 year-long teams, which will be held in May. The tryouts are free, open to all players, and provide an opportunity to showcase skills. Teams will be formed for age groups ranging from 11U (2014 birth year) to 19U (2006 birth year) at Nugget Fields, 1801 Moore Blvd, Davis, CA 95618.

Pre-register to receive information about check-in procedures and what to expect during the tryouts. Details will be sent in April and again a week before the tryouts. For any questions, contact [email protected].

What to Expect at Tryouts

The United tryout experience aims to identify the appropriate player pathway for each individual that attends. Within AYSO soccer in Davis there are teams for any player of any ability. AYSO United forms teams of players with the dedication and skill level to compete in club soccer on a year-round team. Other AYSO in Davis programs like Fall Core, Alliance, and Spring Core provide year-round opportunites with more limitied travel for players to develop.

At AYSO United tryouts, players can expect to check-in, warm-up, and then showcase their skills by working individually and in teams to have fun and play soccer.

There will be two tryout periods depending on the birth year of the player.

Players should plan to attend as many tryouts dates as possible. If a player would like to be considered for a United team, they must attend at least one tryout date. If there are circumstances that make this impossible for your player or family (e.g., current injury), please reach out to [email protected] to discuss.

Equipment: Please ensure your player has plenty of water, shin guards, and socks that cover them. Plain white or dark shirts are most appropriate for tryout environments.

Check-In: Arrive 15 minutes prior to your tryout time and find the tent and table for your players birth year. A volunteer will ensure United has all information needed, hand your player their tryout number, and direct them to their field.

Parents are not allowed on the field during tryouts.

Offer Process: Families will find out by the Sunday after tryouts if their player has been offered a position on a United team for the 24/25 season. All players will be contacted; it helps our contact process if you ensure your player is pre-registered at least a week in advance of tryouts!
