AYSO United Davis

Welcome! Davis, California, is likely home to one of the highest number of soccer referees per capita. Our community has a long, proud tradition of referees -- and AYSO United Davis actively supports our referee community by hosting USSF and AYSO referee trainings as well as educational and community-building opportunities for referees.

AYSO United Davis currently competes in the NorCal Premier League with home games located at Nugget Fields in Davis. Nugget Fields has ample free parking, quality grass and multiple fields. Our community-focused environment is known for being supportive and positive for all participants; we look forward to working with you to provide a safe, fair, and fun environment for all. We would be happy to introduce you to our referee administrator if you are interested in learning more or joining the community.

As an AYSO United Davis referee, you can expect:
- to play an important role in the local soccer culture and community;
- to earn money and gain work experience as a referee;
- to have opportunities to volunteer as a referee;
- to become part of a special and close-knit referee community in Davis.

Becoming a United Referee

All AYSO United Davis referees have a USSF Grassroots Referee or higher certification and a current year badge.

If you are interested in joining the community please fill out this short form. If you are currently USSF certified or an AYSO Intermediate referee, we'll send you information back shortly after filling out the form. If you are not currently a certified referee, we will email you when the next training in Davis or other nearby areas is announced. Training consists of an online portion and an in-person portion on the field.

After Certification

After becoming a USSF referee, our referee assignor will assign you AYSO United Davis games on a weekly basis (when you are available) in the fall and spring. You will also be able to referee NorCal games at other clubs and in tournaments throughout the year.

To become eligible to volunteer to referee Davis AYSO games, fill out a volunteer application form and complete the online Safe Haven training here. Once you have completed the training or if you have any questions, please email us. Once you have been certified as an AYSO referee, you will be able to self-assign to referee Davis AYSO games at RefScheduler.
